The majority of people are right-handed.

As you know, the majority of people are right-handed, and they perform most of their activities with the right hand, so it’s a good practice for them to wear a watch on the left wrist, which protects them from any distraction while performing their activities.

For example, if you are wearing a watch on your right wrist and meanwhile, you do your activities (like writing or hammering, etc.) with your right hand, it will become uncomfortable for you, and in the case of hammering, there is a high chance of damaging your watch. You shouldn’t take the risk of damaging, breaking or scratching your watch. The risk will be much higher in the case of expensive and sensitive watches.

It would be best if you weren’t getting yourself in trouble for no reason.

As you know, nowadays, smartwatches are on a trend. Smartwatch manufacturing companies are introducing more and more features continuously. Smartwatches can also monitor blood pressure, stress levels, and heart rate. The manufacturers recommend that the smartwatch should be worn on the left wrist so that it monitors blood pressure or heart rate properly and accurately because the left hand is closer to the heart.

So, if you wear a watch on your left wrist as a right-handed person, you do your work more comfortably, and you don’t have to take off your watch.

Is it okay to wear watches on the right wrist?

Almost 10% of people are left-handed, so if you are left-handed, you should wear your watch on your right wrist. But, you should also know that it is entirely up to you to wear the watch on your left or right wrist. If you feel comfortable wearing a watch on your right wrist as a right-handed person or vice versa, then it is alright.

Some people also say that men should wear watches on the left wrist and women on the right, but there is no logical and practical reason found behind it.
