Seiko 5 SNKK11K1 Automatic Watch Review

Seiko is a well-known Japanese watch brand. Kintarō Hattori founded it in 1881. Seiko has introduced nearly every type of watch up to this point, including digital, analog, quartz, mechanical, solar, and so on. They classify their watches into various product lines and sub-brands.

Its sub-brands include Grand Seiko (for high-end watches), Seiko Sarb (for mid-range watches), Prospex Street (for urban watches), Prospex Sea (for dive watches), Seiko Presage (for dress watches), and Seiko 5.

The watch I’m reviewing today is from the Seiko 5 sub-brand. The number “5” refers to the features of any Seiko 5 watch, which include automatic winding, a day and date display, water resistance, a recessed crown at 4 o’clock, and a durable case.

In this review, I’ll go over the features, sizes, and functions of the Seiko 5 SNKK11K1. I’ll share with you almost everything you need to know before purchasing it. Let’s get started.

Seiko 5 SNKK11K1 Watch

The watch comes with a stainless steel case. The case measures 38 millimeters in diameter and 12 millimeters in thickness. The lug width is about 20 millimeters. The stainless steel bezel is fixed.

The gold-tone recessed or inset crown is located at 4 o’clock. Pulling the crown reveals two positions: the first is used to set the date and day, and the second is used to change the time. Rotate it clockwise in order to set the date and anticlockwise in order to set the day in the first position. Turning the watch upside down reveals the transparent case back.

  • It has water resistance up to 30 meters. It means the watch can withstand minor splashes or rain but is not suitable for swimming.

Imperfection

  • It lacks a manual winding function and a hacking function that allows you to stop the watch by pulling the crown.
  • Low water resistance.

Final Words

I tried my best to cover every aspect of the Seiko 5 SNKK11K1 watch. Overall, it is a nice dress watch, available at a reasonable price.
