The 120-click unidirectional bezel is made of stainless steel and has a black ceramic insert with a 60-minute scale. It is easy to grip thanks to its knurled edge, and it rotates very smoothly.

The Dial

One of the standout features of the Seiko King Samurai SRPE37 is its white grid pattern dial. It features the Seiko and Prospex logos, along with the “Automatic” label, all in contrasting black. The indices adopt the typical Samurai shapes, primarily with baton shapes, but trapezoidal shapes are visible at 6 and 9 o’clock, with doubled indices at 12 and 3 o’clock.

At 3 o’clock, there’s an unframed date window that takes up a significant portion of the dial and is accompanied by a small luminescent index. However, the Cyclops’ magnification may obscure it a little. The dial is surrounded by a white chapter ring with black minute markers. Moreover, the sapphire crystal protects the dial, providing excellent scratch resistance and clear visibility.

The Strap:

The black silicon strap features a traditional design with two folds near the lugs, offering a comfortable and well-constructed option. It comes with a metal keeper with the Seiko logo and a substantial metal buckle, adding to its overall durability. It’s important to mention that the strap has a flexible and textured underside, which could be one of the reasons it’s a popular choice among watch owners.

Water Resistance:

As part of the Prospex line, the Seiko SRPE37 is a 200-meter water resistant, ensuring its suitability for various water activities. The watch features a screw-down case back with the Seiko wave logo, guaranteeing a secure and watertight seal. Additionally, The screw-down crown, positioned at 3 o’clock, is surrounded by angled crown guards, contributing to the watch’s robustness and water resistance.
